Highlight of that evening is the 20 minutes fireworks display fired at the back of the Quezon Memorial Tower. The clip also shows the amateur footage of the excerpt of the astonish 20 minute sky full of lighters (6:50).

Bonfire. More fun in the Philippines. Blazing pan of Cashew nuts (known as Kasoy or Kasuy in the Philippines) burning like in the fires of hell.

Though we did this around 8:30 am of April 12, 2012, it doesn’t drive me nuts despite of the heat coming from the Sun and the flames produced by these drupes. Rather a fun thing to do with a bunch of kids. Makes me bit feel young in a while. Haha?! 😀

Just doing the things I used to do back in my youngster years of living somewhere in the Northern Region of Luzon. 😀

The huge statue of The Resurrected Christ which signifies that Jesus after 40 days of coming back from the dead reunites with God, The Father up in Heaven.

Found behind the big statue of Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane somewhere in the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, a City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan fame. It’s their first time to see this sculpture but not for me. 😀

New beginnings in a Christian way after Easter. Happy Easter Monday to all?! 😀

Wet Summer. More fun in the Philippines

Pool Immersion. More Fun in the Philippines. For me, it’s not literally swimming at all, but instead soaking. 😀 Going into the pool was like being in a giant bath tub.

Cold-wide-waving Jacuzzi. We spent more time in the corner of the of the swimming pool with less exposure from the summer heat of the Sun (thanks to the trees for putting a shade on that pool side. :D).

Slips towards down then splashes. I got to experience the slides after not doing it for so long… I feel the suspense the moment while waiting and become more intense as I started to sit on the top of the slide. The thrill as I go all the way down and get numb shortly when the water clashes to me after the fall was way better that a carnival ride?! 😀

Epic Fail Jump shot. Having second thoughts in every attempt for a free fall down to the pool gives mea bit of anxiousness. It’s worse than sliding down but it’s a better, exciting and crazy dive. 😀

Breaking the rules of Dieting. In summer outing, among the major highlights of that day is eating… eating… and eating… being sober from the mouthwatering foods is a no-no. At least for this day, let’s give ourselves a break. Haha! Right JM? 😀 How can you resist to the delicious dishes like Menudo, Pineappled Chicken and Grilled Pork (in addition to that, rice and banana for dessert) all spends paid by our Dear Mam Ana. She’s really an angel sent from heaven. I’m so lucky to know her and be part of her circle of company. 😀 Thanks Very Much Mam Ana for making this get together happen. 😀

Ambush and Impromptu photo shoot. I understand that I’m in a group of people who loves to take pictures, so I have to get ready for my picture perfect pose. I might consider attending their next photo session. Maybe they can give me some workshops on how to project in a front of the lens, or perhaps tips to help me relax for a nice photogenic portrait. 😀

Summer season (to some) may be a burden as the heat waves takes over the cold breeze and warms everything by daylight. On a lighter side, it’s a way of the weather to reunite the establish bond with the people who never forgets you as time flies. So guys, thanks for the one day chill on this year’s warm season. Let’s do this next time, till we meet again?! 😀

P.S. Wow?! It’s been nearly decade (December of 2002 was I think my former visit) since my last swimming on this resort. But March 2009, when we got to crash an 18th birthday (happened on the same resort), we just attend the party that night, we never get ourselves wet. :D. Yeah, years had passed and it’s seems nothing has change, still the same. It’s truly the pride of City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. 😀

Meet and Greet with The Drunks…

I’ve never been in any eyeball before… for those who don’t have any idea what’s an ‘eyeball’ or ‘eb’ for short, its meeting up with someone whom a person met through talks on text, emails (or snail mails) or even in networking sites. It’s an up close in person encounter of each others’ real life avatars, not to mention, the chance to mingle and blend within the more-about-you zone. For some, attending eyeball simply means it’s the moment of truth?! The feeling of battling out excitement, hesitation and anxiety, and thinking of how to deal with the first meeting… all that in one combo. Then you arrived on the said venue (and there’s no turning back) makes you wanna say: “This is it?! Good luck to me?!”

So just recently, I attended a simple ‘eb’ as part of the Third anniversary of the group I used to belong with. And since I’m going to meet with them in a flesh, I suggest the perfect place for that is on the UP fair event (at the Sunken Gardens, UP Diliman). Well, some of them had attended the first ‘eb’ before back in 2009 held (as well) at the UP fair (while the others on the succeeding follow up ‘eyeballs’). Why at the UP fair? Only one reason for me is that, it’s memorable in a sense that the place was the first actual interaction of the group, the AMATS (the DRUNKS). So going back… that night, I saw right before my eyes how the close ties of friendship bonds them, one proof is that one of them came through all over from Batangas just to come and see us (I think to see how I look. Haha. :D), it just shows that distance is not a hindrance for a good and lasting comradeship. 🙂

So how’s the experience? Hmmmm, let me describe it this way… it’s like a you entered a chat room, and all you have to post are some words with different kinds of smileys or just smileys alone (to make them notice you’re there, it’s also a way of earning chat points and convert it into chips. :D), that’s how a shy type and don’t-talk-that-much person (like me) did — the whole ‘eb’ thing is much like that. 😀

Fun! That explains the meet and greet and maybe a post St. Valentine’s group date-slash-get together. I’ve met people from different walks of life who share one thing in common, we entered the AMATS chat room. In just one single click of that enter link, conversation was made, got drunk by the craziness and the rest is history…

You’ve been consistent about visiting Manila to see your urban friends (when you have the luxury of time), traveling all the way from Batangas is so sweet of you. Lesson learned on that ‘eyeball’ acquaintance… I tried to loosen up from being an anonymous introvert and struggle to become a less introvert but a bit extrovert JEJE. Haha. 😀 To cap it all, it was one of the chances of a lifetime, the possibility of having a lasting acquaintanceship is priceless… and it all began in the technology called ‘mobile internet chat’.

And lastly…

being with people is to be with people, for no man is an island.
